Alhamdulillah, sesi mengambil gambar guru dan staf telah berjaya. Kesemua guru/staf kusess telah diambil gambar. Gambar ini bertujuan untuk dokumentasi dan tujuan lain seperti untuk carta organisasi, laman web, SPS profil, mengisi borang rasmi , name tag dan sebagainya. Chromakey green background dan studio background serta 2 strobe 300W digunakan dalam tugasan kali ini. Setup untuk DSLR ialah:

Kalau nak dibandingkan dengan womble, womble lagi mudah dan straight to the point cuma features tak sebanyak Vegas dan kena convert ke FLV untuk upload ke youtube. Vegas ni cuma render ke WMV11 dengan bitrate 1Mbps so dpt saiz yang kecik dan mudah nak upload ke youtube berbanding womble. But womble still the best software utk mpeg2 editing dan untuk menghasilkan dvd video.

Ramadhan buffet at Concorde Inn KLIA

Setelah selesai sesi mesyuarat petang tadi, satu sesi tazkirah telah dijalankan di bilik seminar. Penceramah jemputan telah memberikan ceramah yang sugguh berkesan sekali. Kita-kira jam 7.10pm, tazkirah berakhir dan para guru serta pegawai KUTV dan JPNS bergerak ke Melting Point Concorde Inn. Keluar sahaja dari pintu...kelihatan kambing dan ayam tengah bergolek-golek di atas api..ianya cukup menyelerakan. Semua berbaris untuk mengambil juadah. Juadah bukan sahaja disajikan diluar bahkan juga dibahagian dalam. Lebih dari 160 jenis makanan telah terhidang di depan mata. Pengunjung Melting Point kali ini cukup ramai seperti sebuah pasaraya...masing-masing memasukkan juadah ke dalam pinggan..entahkan boleh dihabiskan atau tidak. Saya cuma mengambil sedikit juadah sebelum bergerak ke surau untuk menunaikan kewajipan..TETAPI lepas tu..sambung balik...

Mesyuarat FUAT di BTPN Negeri Sembilan

Walaupun mesuyarat ini sangat singkat namun beberapa resolusi telah dicapai. Sistem SPS yang masih dibangunkan memang diakui masih mempunyai pepijat/bugs dan perlu tindakan segera dari pihak Rebound. Kebanyakkan sekolah sepakat untuk meminta Rebound menyelesaikan masalah tersebut terlebih dahulu sebelum dijalankan latihan intensif diperingkat sekolah. Antara modul yang masih mempunyai masalah ialah:

3. Kehadiran

GPB diminta untuk memberi peluang kepada sistem ini untuk digunakan diperingkat sekolah. Namun terdapat banyak kekangan di sekolah yang perlu diambik perhatian oleh developer sistem ini dan segala cadangan gpb selama ini perlu diambil perhatian sewajarnya.

Kelas 2 Intan telah terpilih untuk menjadi perintis kepada student dalam penggunaan Google Apps : Kusessmail. Nampaknya student tidak menghadapi masalah dengan sistem ini. Pelajar boleh membaca, membalas dan menjemput kenalan lain untuk berkomunikasi. Bahkan pelajar juga dapat mengubahkan tema paparan kusessmail. Pada masa yang sangat singkat itu juga, pelajar didedahkan dengan Kusesscalendar dan KusessDocs. Tahniah kepada 2 Intan kerana menjadi pelopor dalam Google Apps di Kusess.

Petang ini telah diadakan Latihan Dalam Perkhidmatan LDAP untuk sistem SPS disampaikan oleh Cik Ain. Latihan kali ini lebih menjurus kepada semua modul SPS secara ringkas. Walaupun data sekolah di dalam SPS masih lagi belum sempurna. Masalah login guru juga masih belum diatasi oleh Rebound. Di harapkan agar guru dapat mencuba dan mempelajari modul yang berkaitan dengan tugas guru dan memberikan maklum balas untuk Mesyuarat FUAT 1 september akan datang. Latihan bermula jam 4 petang dan berakhir pada jam 5 petang di Bilik seri Bayu.

Hari ni terpaksan hantar balik videocam charger tu kat Tesco [tempat beli] Kuala Selangor. Nampak gaya tak sempat ler nak ambik video untuk bulan puasa hehe. Ntah ngapa tetiba charger tu tak boleh charge pulak camcorder ni. Nasib baik still under warranty sehingga tiga tahun.

Adding a favicon to your blog is a good way to distinguish your blog from the millions of other blogs. To add a favicon, you need to generate a .ico format file, a place to host the file and add 2 link elements in the section of your template. To generate the .ico file and to host it, you can go to MyFavatar. You need to have ready a roughly square graphic saved to your hard disk.

7 jika ada tanda2 simptom diatas, segera ke hospital untuk pemeriksaan dan rawatan

8 jika sihat, jgn ke hospital atau klinik utk 'checkup' kerana di kawasan tersebut mengandungi bnyk virus.

9 tak perlu ambil anti-viral @ apa2 ubt influenza!!!!!!!!!!. jika sihat dan mengambilnya, akn mengakibatkan resistan kpd vaksin @ ubt2 untuk merawat jika terkena jangkitan. ini adalah kerana berlakunya resistansi virus terhadap persekitaran badan yg telah mengambil ubt2 tersebut terlebih awal.

10 vaksin hanya akan 'wujud' seawal2nya pada oktober dan hanya utk 'frontliner' shj. dan utk awam selewat2nya pada 2010.

11 utk makluman, influenza test hanya dijalankan di 2 makmal shj di malaysia. mengambil masa 6 jam utk run test kpd 1 batch sample. jika klinik menyatakan mereka boleh jlnkan ujian, itu tidak betul. tak perlu ambil suntikan seasonal influenza kerana ia tidak berkaitan.

12 tahap kesedaran dan pengetahuan yg tinggi amat perlu utk kita sama2 menghadapi outbrake ini. sama2lah kita berdoa kpd ALLAH s.w.t agar bala ini cepat berlalu.

Google Apps at KUSESS

Dengan rasminya, Google application seperti mail, calendar, docs dan chat telah di integrasikan ke dalam domain kusess.edu.my. Dengan itu, setiap warga kusess akan mendapat email percuma dari google yang beralamat user@kusess.edu.my. Google Apps lebih memudahkan kolaborasi dikalangan warga sekolah. Dell after sale service

Semalam Cikgu Hasnah jumpa saya dan minta bantuan kerana Netop Dell Mini 10 yang baru beli takboleh nak dihidupkan. Lepas dihidupkan tak lama netop tu akan mati. Rupanya baterinya ada problem. Saya terus call Dell dan dell minta nyatakan masalah. Dell tanpa banyak soal terus bersetuju untuk menghantar bateri gantian hari ini jam 5 petang.
Hari ini jam 10 pagi ada call dari Taxi driver nak hantar bateri tu. Tak sangka begitu cepat walaupun janji pukul 5 petang. Dell menghantar part menggunakan perkhidmatan teksi dan sebelum ini pernah terjadi monitor rosak di Makmal Bestari pun driver taxi yang hantar. Takperlu ke kedai dan membazir minyak kereta..parts dihantar terus kepada pelanggan.
Memang terbukti bahawa Dell memang 'power' tentang after sale service. I give 5 stars for them!!

Cyber Kiosk monitoring

Semalam student form 4 masuk cyber kiosk jadi macam sardin. Inilah student, kalau dibiarkan tak dimonitor, student suka hati je buat macam kiosk tu dia punya. Kesudahannya, hari ni bos panggil dan tanya sebab. Apapun sistem pengurusan cyber kiosk kena dikemaskinikan. Agak pening juga kalau nak jaga kiosk ni. Student pun takde sorang pun nak cari maklumat tentang pembelajaran. Semuanya main social networking, main online game dan baca komik. So akibat dari itu, cyber kiosk akan ditutup untuk jangkamasa yang panjang. Kerana nila setitik, habis susu sebelanga.

HD video keduaku

Video youtube HD kali ni diedit dengan womble mpg. Walaupun womble boleh inport AVI file tapi sewaktu recode mungkin kualiti rakaman akan menurun. Setelah membaca manual, export boleh dilakukan terus ke AVI atau MP4 file. Prosess editing dan exporting agak perlahan berbanding file yang menggunakan format mpg. Fail HD AVI dari nikon D5000 agak besar saiznya lebihkurang 2Mb per saat. Mungkin komputer kena menggunakan yang berkuasa quad core baru cepat sikit.

My first HD video

Video diambil dengan Nikon D5000 tanpa editing tapi convert kepada FLV menggunakan AVS. Nikon DSLR ni mampu utk hasilkan video dalam mode HD 1028X720 resolution. Tapi kelemahannya ialah kena manual focus. So far kalau object static macam interview takde masalah. Kalau subject bergerak2...kena pandai mainkan focus ring. Sila click pada HD toolbar pada youtube player untuk memaparkan video dalam mode High Definition.

Workflow from camcorder to DVD

Selepas 2 kali percubaan, ternyata penghasilan DVD ni tak sesukar mana. Keperluan untuk menghasilkan DVD tidaklah terlalu kritikal. Tak perlu untuk menggunakan Premiere CS4, Avid atau Final Cut Pro..cuma guna Womble DVD wizard sudah mampu untuk menghasilkan homevideo DVD yang seperti professional. Dari raw mpg file ke DVD dengan 6 chapter saya cuma perlukan masa 5 jam..wow the workflow sangat pantas. Disamping itu, DVD tersebut fully customize dan boleh memasukkan background music, wallpaper, add button, etc. Keperluan yang saya miliki untuk penghasilan DVD seperti berikut.

1. Canon camcorder FS100
2. SDHC card reader
3. Core 2 duo notbook dengan 2GB ram dan 250GB HD.
4. Womble DVD wizard trial
5. Nero burning ROM
   
6. DVD-R media

Langkah-langkah untuk suntingan adalah seperti berikut:

1. Copy dan convert MOD file dari camcorder ke notbok dengan SDCOPY.
2. Trim, edit dan add effect/transition dengan womble mpg editor. Tips: kurangkan effect dan transition bagi mempercepatkan prosess editing. Lagi banyak transition then lagi lama untuk recode.
3. Copy edited mpg ke satu folder khas.
4. Run Womble DVD wizard, Import fail mpg yang telah diedit. Edit menu mengikut kesesuaian. Jangan lupa test/preview dulu semua menu samada berfungsi atau tidak.
   
5. Export ke TS_Video folder.
6. Run Nero then pilih DVD-video burning.
7. Select semua file dlm folder TS_VIDEO ke DVD dan burn.

So far, FS100 ni tak mengecewakan if we can live with 720X576 pixel video. Bolehlah untuk mencuba homemade DVD atau youtube uploading tapi untuk professional video maybe need to consider Pana HMC152 atau JVC GY-HM100.

Riger DB102 adsl modem setting

Hari ni Cikgu Yuzzini minta bantuan untuk setting adsl modem stremyxnya. Mungkin modem tu telah terreset dengan sendirinya. Mula-mula nak configure dan nak masuk ke configuration pun tak dapat sebab tak tau password adsl modem ni. So terpaksa call telekom. Cara nak setting semula modem ni tak begitu susah.

1. Taip IP modem 192.168.1.1
2. Masukkan username :tmadmin dan password:tmadmin
3. Click WAN dan pilih PPP dan set
   

• PPP interface = 0
• ATM VC = aal5-0
• Protocol = PPoE
• Use DNS = enable
• Security = PAP

Kalau takleh gak, masuk smart configuration dan pilih PPoE dan masukkan username [username@streamyx] dan password. Lepastu click submit.

Hari ini telah diadakan kursus membina laman web menggunakan blogspot sebagai hosting. Kursus dijalankan di PKG Kuala Selangor. Penceramah jemputan ialah En Iszamli dari SMK Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah. Kursus bermula seawal jam 8.30am dan berakhir pada jam 2.00pm. Seramai lebih kurang 30 guru telah hadir dalam kursus ini. Antara isi kandungan kursus ialah:

How To Convert .MOD Video Files To MPEG-2 On Mac And PCs

Need to play back and edit .MOD video files? If you have just got a new camcorder and are killing yourself to understand how to read, convert and import properly those damn .MOD video files, I think have got some solutions for you.

I myself have just bought a small little jewel of a camcorder, the Canon FS-100. This is a truly dream video-camera for the buddying video blogger and grassroot video reporter. Nonetheless its many great features and its super-affordable price, the Canon FS and HF series, alongside some other existing video cameras, such as the JVC Everio, and the Panasonic D-Snap SD-card camcorders, suffer from a frustrating disease: difficult to manage and incompatible .MOD files.

The Canon FS series creates video files with a .MOD extension.
MOD video files are nothing but MPEG-2 files with AC3 audio.

Apparently, and I have tested this out personally, .MOD files can be easily renamed into .AVI or .MPG files and can then be read easily by most video editing or playback tools.

There are also several other ways to convert and easily make these video files usable, but for the novice or the non-technical user, this type of issues may just become a nightmare.

As a matter of fact I have discovered that when you try to playback, import or edit such renamede .MOD video files, these may look horrible, with aliasing effects, distortion and images squeezed due to a wrong aspect ratio setup.

Indeed, though apparently simple, you need to know a few things for the whole process to work smoothly.

This is why I have taken the time to put together this simple mini-guide on how to convert .MOD files and turn them into standard compatible video files that can be read and edited by most any popular video software.

To resolve this situation, here is what you need to do:

.MOD Video Files Conversion Issues

How To Make the .MOD Files Read By Any Software

a) Basic solution: the most basic solution is to rename the .MOD files manually into .MPG files and then to make sure that the video program you import these files into is set properly relative to the video standard used (PAL or NTSC), the aspect ratio used, and the interlacing.

b) If your .MOD files were recorded in 4:3 format then just rename them to .MPG. If they are 16:9 widescreen then you could use sdcopy.exe to convert them.

c) To correctly edit .MPG video files it is recommended that you utilize software that supports "smart-rendering" otherwise the resulting video quality may degrade too much.

d) Recommended MPEG-2 video editing tools I have seen posted online are Magix, Womble Video Wizard or Ulead Videostudio.

e) SDCopy converts your .MOD files, renames them to .MPG and fixes the widescreen tags issue.

f) The problem with these these tags stems from the fact that they are being stored in associated small text files with the extension .MOI. Once you separate the .MOD file from its companion .MOI file the video software you use to open the video file doesn't know anymore what aspect ratio and video file format is being used and tries to guess automatically.

g) Another solution is to utilize DVD Patcher (which is free) to fix the file header and read 16:9 and 720x480.

Also keep in mind that most new camcorders come equipped with some software which generally provides the capability to convert .MOD files into other formats in a simple way. Canon provides ImageMixer which can do this, and JVC camcorders owners can use for example Cyberlink PowerDirector which comes free with their video-cameras.

VLC

When using VLC, you can change a few settings and get the best results. Check these:
Video -> Aspect Ratio -> 16:9 (or 4:3 depending on the clip)
Video -> Deinterlace -> Blend

Adobe Premiere

If you are using Premiere and are having problems seeing the clips in the correct aspect ratio, use mpeg streamclip or a similar tool to transcode the clips into another video format and then import them into Premiere.

Also I have read somebody saying that whenever you import the clip into Premiere, by default the widescreen flag is not correct. The sugestion is simply to right-click on the imported video file, and to select "Reinterpret Footage" and make the selection from there. It should work fine.

Platform Specific Solutions

1) Windows PCs - Windows Movie Maker

a) Launch Windows Movie Maker

b) Go inside Tools -> Options menu

c) Make sure that the encoding setting is set appropriately. If you are in tjhe US or Japan it should be NTSC, but everywhere else it should be set to PAL.

d) Set the aspect ratio to 16:9 because if that is the format you have been recording in.

e) Click OK and you are set.

f) Select "Import..." and bring in your original Canon video file (renamed in .MPG) and the video file will look great.

If missing you may want also to download and install an updated AC3 Codec.

2) Mac - iMovie

If you just want to play back .MOD video files on your Mac simply rename them as .MPG or .MV2 and you should have no problem in opening and viewing your video clips in VLC or Quicktime.

Unfortunately it appears that to edit or work with these files Mac users have a little more trouble to go through to get their MOD files into their favorite video player.

The .MOD video files are modified MPEG-2 files with audio in a non-standard Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound setup which Final Cut Pro, iMovie and most other Mac video editors cannot import natively.

"...the .mod files produced by the camera are muxed MPEG-2 files with the audio mixed in a non-standard Dolby Digital Stereo setup. This causes the video to be played (when renamed to .MPG) correctly in QT (and QT Pro) but no audio is played (although present.) The video has to be converted into a format FinalCutPro (or iMovie) can use natively. The ideal solution would be to edit the native mpeg-2 file without conversion- but this isn't possible with the present form of Quicktime (this may change in the future.)"

For these reasons, Mac users will need in fact to purchase, albeit at a small price, something that will allow them to read properly native MPEG-2 video files.

I have found several alternative solutions on this front.

First, Mac users can take advantage of Streamclip software which will convert the original .MOD files to just about any video file format you may want (but for MPEG-2 support you may be in need to buy the $20 MPEG-2 plug-in for Quicktime from Apple).

alternatively you can try:

Pixela Capty MPEG Edit

or

VisualHub

or

ISky Video Converter for Mac

Whichever solution you select, you need then to:

a) Change .mod file extensions to .MPG (and you can delete the .MOI files) (and maybe use xiafunge to batch this process for many files)

b) Get MpegStreamclip (free on the net) or equivalent software and open the .MOD files.

c) Output to DV format for hassle free iMovie and FCP editing. For top video quality, try using the DVCPRO codec.

d) Import files in DV format to iMovie for editing...

By converting the files using Streamclip you'll end up with a 100% DV conversion at the cost of a slight quality loss- nothing too bad maybe 3-5% quality loss.

Another approach I have found goes like this:

a) Convert all the .MOD files in .DV format and save them somewhere.)

b) Open iMovie, create a new DV project, pay attention to choose 4:3 or 16:9 then save it and close iMovie.

c) Go into the saved project folder and open it (see contents). Inside you'll find a folder called media, just drop in all your converted files, close all and reopen iMovie. You'll see that iMovie prompts you that in your recycle bin there are some files...

d) Just recover them and .. it's done.

You can now edit and use your files on your Mac with iMovie.

For those more technically skilled there is also another free road: FFMPEGX. Not intuitive, but positively workable if you know where to put your fingers. FFMPEGX is great for transcoding the original .MOD /MPEG-2 video clips into other video formats.

Those having access to mastering software Toast Titanium can also easily convert .MOD files to just about any video format they want.

On a positive note, for those wanting to simply upload their .MOD video files to a video sharing site, Google Video accepts .MOD files directly for upload and publication, without the need to convert the files into any other format.

By the way... this is a great market opportunity right now, as the number of camcorders and users generating .MOD files will probably increase rapidly, until camcorder producers will decide to standardize on an easier to use video format. Youtube menyediakan kemudahan audio swap pada video kita. Video yang diupload tanpa sound track akan kelihatan hambar dan kurang menarik. Sekiranya audio kita tidak mempunyai audio seperti percakapan, bolehlah kita memasukkan audio menggunakan youtube audio swap seperti merakamkan video gelagat anak dan sebagainya. Banyak sekali pilihan lagu di youtube. Kita cuma perlu pilih lagu yang mempunyai masa main [track time] bersamaan dengan panjang video kita...selamat mencuba...

Berkenaan rapidshare

Rapidshare adalah tempat penyimpanan fail-fail yang bersaiz besar. Kebanyakkan fail disimpan disana boleh dimuat turun oleh pengguna. Terdapat dua jenis akaun rapidshare iaitu free account dan premium account. Premium akaun mampu memuat turun fail secara selari [parallel download] apabila memuatturun dengan menggunakan pengurus muat turun [download manager]. Saya menggemari IDM 5.17 atau Internet Download Manager. Biasanya saya suka download fail aplikasi dan movie.

Perhimpunan pagi

Perhimpunan pagi merupakan aktiviti rutin di SM Sains Kuala Selangor. Tujuannya ialah untuk menyampaikan maklumat kepada semua pelajar. Ia bermula seawal jam 7:10 pagi dan berakhir pada jam 7:30AM. Aturcara perhimpunan pagi ialah:

1. Nyanyian lagu Negaraku dan lagu Sekolah
2. Ucapan guru bertugas jika ada
3. Bacaan doa
4. Mentor kelas menanda kehadiran.
5. Bersurai dan masuk kekelas untuk sesi P&P

Converting video untuk youtube

Untuk menukarkan format video, AVS video converter adalah yang paling mudah digunakan. Video dari camcorder adalah dalam format .MOD kemudian ianya perlu ditukarkan ke .MPG format menggunakan sdcopy. Proses ini bukan recoding tetapi cuma penukaran format. Recoding dan compression berulang kali akan menyebabkan kualiti video akan berkurang. Saya lebih suka memilih FLV untuk diupload ke youtube dengan resolusi 720x576pixel dan 1200kbps.

Cara memasukkan personal video kedalam blogspot sangatlah mudah. Cuma perlu copy embeded code di youtube ke HTML editor di blogspot semasa membuat post terbaru. Setelah itu, ubah saiz video mengikut kelebaran blog anda. Saya set saiz kepada 400X260 pixel.

Kelebihan gmail

Ini bukanlah untuk promosi gmail tetapi cuma ingin berkongsi kelebihan gmail pada semua. Pada awalnya gmail adalah satu email percubaan oleh google. Akaun gmail tidak diberi kepada semua tetapi ianya boleh didaftar jika ada seseorang yang menjemput untuk akaun gmail. Saya masih ingat lagi 5 tahun lepas sewaktu gmail dilancarkan, ramai pengguna yang inginkan akaun gmail terpaksa meminta pengguna gmail menjemput mereka. Ada juga yang mengambil kesempatan untuk menjual 'invitation' kepada pengguna. Saya terpaksa membeli invitation ini dan membayar RM5 melalui lelong.com.my. Pengguna baru akan diberikan 50 invitation dan seterusnya boleh menjemput kawan-kawan untuk menyertai gmail. Kapasiti storan yang diberi ada 1GB dimana ianya adalah yang terbesar berbanding dengan web base email lain seperti yahoo dan hotmail. Kemudian gmail menambah ruangan storan dari masa kesemasa. Sekarang gmail telah menghampiri 8GB storan. Berita terkini ialah gmail bukan lagi dalam versi beta secara rasminya pada 7 Julai 2009 yang lalu.

Kebanyakkan tv/monitor yang ada pada hari ni sering kita sebutkan sebagai wide lcd. Sebenarnya kelebaran monitor adalah berdasarkan kepada aspect ratio. TV atau monitor wide biasanya menggunakan 16:9 aspect ratio manakala TV yang lama disebutkan sebagai letterbox size atau 4:3 aspect ratio. Wide TV/monitor diperkenalkan bagi memberi pengalaman sebenar penonton iaitu seakan-akan berada di pawagam. Ia juga memberi pandangan yang lebih luas dan kepuasan kepada penonton. Walaubagaimanapun masih ada peralatan yang masih tidak menyokong 16:9 seperti LCD projector dimana notebook yang menggunakan wide monitor akan menghasilkan imej yang tidak penuh [cropping] pada projector.
